I have always worked at large scales, and enjoy the challenge of creating artworks and designs for public spaces – whether through self-directed mural and installation projects, commissioned commercial work such as shop interior design or as collaborative community projects.
Live painting at ‘DRAW’
The Print Space Gallery, Hoxton, London A Live Painting commission to celebrate the launch of Draw, a group exhibition focusing on illustrative art at London’s The Printspace Gallery. I was also asked to contribute works to the two-week exhibition and conduct an artists workshop for select attendees. During the event I considered the large mounted board a sketch pad for unplanned experimentation. I tried to work through as many different media as possible, and play with colour and shape over a very precise foundation of lines. I used watercolour resist, Liquitex acrylic ink, brushes, sponges, stencils, colouring pencils, brush pens and even a tootbrush.
Live Event Portraiture for Frey Wille Jewellery Launch
Frey Wille London Stores, South Moulton Street and Piccadilly I was invited to draw guests at both the Oxford Street and Bond Street store of Frey Wille for an event launching of a new exciting range of jewellery. With only a few minutes to illustrate guests they were drawn adorned in their favourite piece from the evening’s collection. Really fun!

The 8hr event advertising their new S/S range was streamed live across the web. I was one of 12 artists who were filmed and interviewed as part of the fun PR campaign. More of these please !

EyeCandy Festival, Fused Magazine, Birmingham An installation commission for the EyeCandy Festival of Popular Visual Culture in Birmingham, a week-long illustration festival across multiple venues. The installation was placed at the entrance to the Festival’s main location, and completed over four days – the final two while the festival was underway. EyeCandy also invited me to conduct an artist’s Masterclass presentation in the main venue, and chose ‘BitterSweet’ to cover the festival programme, distributed throughout the city.
